When Philip and Todd started Back Home, they had this crazy idea that if they put enough care into every project and treated the customer like, well, a customer, things would work out just fine. So far, they’ve been right. Between handling sales and creative, he can be heard quizzing the staff about movie lines. Philip also has a clock in his office that chimes in with the sound of a different John Deere vintage tractor every hour. “My favorite is the 1941. Sounds like victory. Quick: What movie is that from?

Ever since Back Home has been around, we’ve been looking for something Todd can’t do. We’ve tried editing video (his wheelhouse) developing Flash (yup) building websites (uh-huh) constructing e-Learning modules (piece o’ cake.) Don’t worry, we’ll keep trying. Bottom line: If it comes out of Back Home Productions, it has Todd’s fingerprints all over it. In his spare time (ha) Todd raises chickens. “They each have their own personalities.” We try not to egg him on.
For the past 20 years (OK, OK, 20something years) Bob has done one thing – communicate effectively. He has developed his skills in print, in TV news and on several networks. All at the highest level. He has been Back Home’s producer for the last five. If there is a video or an event to produce, Bob will be there. Probably wearing black. “It’s in the Producers’ Handbook: Page 231. Wear black so you don’t reflect.”
We recruited Andrew out of LA about 4 years ago. Unbeknownst to us, he was homeless, living in his “BMW” coupe on the corner of Santa Monica Blvd and 10th street. According to him, he was trying to break into the film industry. Needless to say, it didn’t work out. When we asked him, “What he thought about LA”. He replied in a misanthropic tone, “In LA, the pollution is bad, the traffic is terrible, and the people are even worse.” Thanks to us, Andrew now resides in a home, with a roof, in the City of Bulls.
UX Design/3D Artist
Bing Wu is a graphic and industrial designer here at Back Home. Armed with his master’s degree from NC State, Bing’s specialty is User Experience Design and User Interface Design. So, if a Back Home creation just seems to make sense when you open it, it’s probably because of Bing. Bing is fluent in English, as well as Mandarin. He is also great about sharing exotic Asian treats with everyone at the office. Or as Bing calls them, treats.
