Account Executive – New Business (Sports Media)

We are a full-service digital agency. For the last 12 years, we have been producing videos and related collateral, as well as developing software solutions, for companies large and small. To help enable our continued success, this self-motivated AE will develop new clients, work to maintain existing relationships and become a key member of our team. To achieve those goals, it is essential that the AE have an understanding of sports media. The AE will work with our team to guarantee that our clients’ needs are met and exceeded on every project. In return, the AE will be part of a growing, bi-coastal organization that with will help him or her advance both personally and professionally.

Responsibilites

  • Research, identify, target and refine prospects.
  • Follow through with all presentations, including follow-up letters, proposals, etc.

Prospecting

  • Work in tandem with agency principals to develop prospect targets and prospect plan.
  • Report on market climate, competitive position and specific sales opportunities, as part of annual and long-term business plan development and implementation.
  • Research, develop and maintain a list of targeted prospects.

Pitching

  • Review and write prospect briefs with company background, current agency, marketing situation and analysis of opportunity for Back Home Productions.
  • Managing pitch process and internal and client deliverables for small scale pitches and assisting in the management of large integrated pitches.

Qualifications

  • Experience – entry to mid-level. A minimum of one to three years sports media experience; five years preferred.
  • A record in sales is important, of course, but since this is a team game, the AE must be a team player.
  • Individual must be self-motivated and proficient with public speaking.
  • Enjoys camaraderie and taking part in company activities.
  • Has a sense of humor and knows when they are singing off-key.
  • Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • North Carolina area candidates only – no exceptions.
  • US citizenship or US permanent status required.
